LOL. This game looks good at GF8600; Core 2 2,5GHz and 1GB of ram.

I have GTX470 SOC All Max 32xCSAA 16xAF HASO on 1680x1050 and the 50-60fps

I have a 1680x1050. I hope I will be OK with a GTX 570 which should arrive today.
I have an i7 860 at 4.2ghz. I might lower it to 4.0ghz because havijng a little problem.

Is it okay to use this video card at a resoloution of 1440x900?
vfgud 1 year ago
@vfgud yeah but it will be wasted power. you might wanna get a 470 or 570 for that resolution and save yourself a boat load of cash!

@ereetos
I was also thinking of buying a Phenom II x2 will a dual core bottleneck a GTX 470?
vfgud 1 year ago
@vfgud you probably want at least a quad core. more newer games are utilizing quads. one example of such is CoD Black Ops. it ran much better on quads than dual cores.

could you please explain to me the full meaning of "bottleneck" ? and i have a 19 inch monitor with max resolution 1440x900(which is not much but i love it).do you think a GTX260 would be able to run any game at high without lags?cause i just learnt that infact GPUs performance change according to monitors.and tha a GTX280 could deliver the same performance of an 480 with a smaller monitor.am i right? and do you have few tips to NOT make fraps eat your fps like a hungry little bastard?

@rayx167 Bottlenecks can occurr if you play with a powerful video card at low resolution. Your video card isn't being pushed hard enough and all that power is pretty much wasted unless you massively overclock your CPU to match. a GTX260 or 280 at 1440x900 resolution is probably a good choice for you. Monitor brand or type has no impact on FPS performance but monitor size does because the larger the monitor the higher native resolution it will have. Try recording your FRAPS at half res with 25fps
