The ratings did nothing but climb when they were on and have done nothing but fall since they've been gone. They were fired because a station can hire a local show to boss around and completely control while paying way less. Opie and Anthony are doing the most complicated innovative shit in radio and it's a complete uphill battle. Everything is working against them right now but it shall never fail to ring true that Opie and Anthony always win in the end.
