Recipe:

Serves 4

1 Boneless chuck steak
Private Selection® Steakhouse seasoning grinder, to taste
4 Tablespoons Private Selection® olive oil, divided
2 Tablespoons red wine
1 Large white onion, sliced
1 Green bell pepper, sliced
8 Flour tortillas
Your favorite taco sauce
Sour cream
Shredded cheese

1. Heat a large skillet over medium high heat for two minutes. Season the boneless chuck steak with
the Private Selection grinder. Add one tablespoon of the oil to the hot pan and swirl to coat. Add
the steak and bronze for two minutes. Turn and bronze the second side for two more minutes.
Lower the heat to medium and continue to cook (turning often) until desired doneness. Add the
wine and turn to coat well. Remove the steak to a cutting board and set aside to rest.

2. Heat the same skillet over medium high heat for one minute. Add the remaining olive oil, onions
and peppers. Sauté for three minutes (or until soft). Remove the vegetables to a clean bowl.

3. Slice the boneless chuck steak into thin strips. Serve with the vegetables, tortillas, sour cream, taco
sauce and cheese.

Beer Suggestion: Corona or Tecate beer

  • Thank you! I bought a slab of boneless chuck steak and had no idea what to do with it!

  • How milktoast can you get? If you start with chuck the result is not a fajita! It's like saying you're going to teach people how to make corned beef and cabbage and then throwing a london broil in the pot. You're misinforming people. If you're going to make a ham and cheese sandwich and you decide to substitute a piece of fish for the ham...you can do that, sure..but don't still tell people it's a ham and cheese sandwich.

  • Now-a-days fajitas can be made with w/e kind of meat you want. What ever works for you and as long as it taste great!

  • why call this fajitas? that's not even flank steak or skirt steak. look up the definition for fajitas. sad.

  • This is delicios man!! 

  • Mike,

I have enjoyed your videos quite a bit. I never realized how quickly and easily I could cook dinner for myself at night. My diet is healthier and tastes much better now.

Could you do me a favor? I have been considering buying a Blackstone Griddle. Could you watch a few Blackstone Griddle videos on Youtube and tell me if I could cook most of your recipes on the griddle. If not, then what would be the short coming?

    Thank you.

  • lol fail chef work when putting the onions and red bell peper lololol. But great work :]

  • Just to let you know that I made this 4 times and everyone was like OMG it is so delicious. Your recipe is my favourite.

  • If I wanted to take the pink out of the middle (make it about medium well), yet still keep it moist, how would I go about doing that?

  • Hello chef Mike !! I love love love thisfajitas recipe and am going to try it tonight. Oh by the way you are a handsome chef ^_^
