  • yes it's truly cool!!!

  • @pudljumper It would have been great! Looking back to my initial comment, I'll reiterate; he very well may have been on drugs (or on a burnout from them), but this had nothing to do with the incoherent warbling. It's so cool to hear this.

  • @atommo67 Nah, Bernie always wrote the lyrics first. This song would have been a Gary Osborne number; he always wrote the lyrics after the music :) I love the music for this one.

  • wow, not so well received judging from most of the comments here. personally, this sounds like it would have been an amazing song (to me). and yes, this is a demo with unfinished lyrics (look up the dreamboat demo on here, it's similar)

  • this was only a demo, meaning he was just coming up with it on the spot, and he was an addict from ~ '75 - '90

  • Thanks for posting. I have just now starting searching youtube and listening to elton songs. It is fantastic how much has never been heard. I am putting them on a cassette tape to listen to. Very archaic but it works.

  • never thot i'd say this abt elton john, but awful! was he really on drugs in his life? and when?

  • This is a demo! He's not on drugs, he's not crazy, he's experimenting with the potential song. Ever seen that part in 'Tantrums and Tiaras' where he's writing a song for Lulu? He does this sort of stuff there, too.

A part of me longs for the old coked out Elton anyways. Why? Ever seen any of his live vids from 1984? That's why.

  • This may have been a song Bernie never finished the lyrics for. I've heard Phil Collins "mumble" songs like this while he was writing the music for a song.

  • This song has such a beautiful melody! Thanks!

    ~Tyler~
