On May 17th, 2011, I changed the title of this video. It used to be called "Fred Discusses Shakespeare and Saul Bellow." I also removed the tags "William Shakespeare" and "Saul Bellow." If those tags misled anybody into thinking this video would provide something not actually contained in it, please accept consolation in the fact that those tags, having been removed, can't do that anymore. And now a note about my politics: I am a strong supporter of President Obama. At the end of this video (made in March of 2009), I express doubts about the effectiveness of the Obama administration. If what I say in my video sounds as if the opposite is true, I was not trying to dismiss the administration. I was worried it was going to be an ineffective presidency. I consider the Clinton administration to have been ineffective (inasmuch as it could not achieve certain goals of its own; goals I wanted it to have), and I was concerned that this administration would be ineffective as well. I agree with almost everything President Obama has done and I'm proud he's my president.
@MrShempenman :
I have long considered deleting this video, because I, myself, find I have not dealt with Saul Bellow or Shakespeare in the way they ought to be dealt with. However, I feel compelled to say this: I am a strong supporter of Obama. If there's something in this video which seems to be deriding him, it is absolutely unintentional.

Why bother comparing Drama and Poetry? We don't read the Sonnets for the plot, so why deride them for having no plot? They are not meant to be 'suspenseful'. And why go on from saying how much you should have read Bellow, but never did, and then deride Obama?! I have just wasted 4 mins of my life hoping for some lucid comment on Shakespeare and Bellow.
