I watched earthlings and finally saw what I always knew. I saw it happen in greater detail that I could ever imagine. I urge everyone to watch this documentary. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ce4DJh-L7Ys

  • exactly Stuff2015

  • @tabathawabatha I appreciate that but there is one thing more attractive...A kind, compassionate, strong willed woman :) from my perspective anyhow. Thank you

  • @DA13792 That is awesome!

  • @mebossyounothing lol I don't know what exactly a green peace activist looks like but if the long hair is why then I will just have to take that and run with it. I like growing my hair out. I feel more like me with longer hair. and no offense taken.

The only problem is, whether the body utilizes the plant form of B12 or not.

Even still. regardless, the human body does better on a diet that is almost completely plant based and that's because animal protein is difficult to digest, especially around the ileum and jejunum area. But, as long as you're taking B12/Iron the rest is pure speculation.

In saying that, I don't eat meat very often. But when I do, it is local [down the road] where I know they treat them right and are killed in a humane way. Although, I'm on the fence about that..Don't know if I could eat someone I patted a little while ago :(..but, I know that humans need a little meat once in awhile, but not even half as much as the average American/Canadian eats.

  • It hurts so bad to watch it.

I honestly broke at the part when they put the dogs in the gas chambers, and the pigs in the cell.....I want to help, and I'm going to.

    However,

Farm animals are not [usually] treated like this.

I know farmers that live around me and I visit their animals all the time. They're out in the pastures grazing on grass, or running around with their brothers and sisters. They have lots and lots of land to roam and they're energetic and happy local farm meat is better..

  • B12 can be found in organic produced plants, according to: T. COLIN CAMPBELL, PHD

Plants absorb nutrients from the soil, but that is old news........

  • @LloydChristmas777 Cows get their B12 from grass. Not dirty.

Some seaweed, contains B12 as well.

  • @starfaery, Yep, B12 was easily consumed from plants (dirt clinging to plants) before technology changed the world so now we have to safely consume B12 by other means.

  • Thanks for sharing your story and being on a healthy and compassionate diet.

  • @heidbrain, The only thing a vegan needs to supplement is B12 and maybe D, depending on where you live.

Science is what caused the unsafe B12 consumption from plants (B12 is neither produced from animals nor plants, but from certain bacteria from dirt). Therefore, vegans, as well as non-vegans would be wise to supplement B12. Over 40% of Americans are B12 deficient, and they eat PLENTY of meat. Anyone over 50 years old no matter the diet, should supplement B12. We don't need meat.
