Free LandLine Phone through PC in Canada freephoneline.ca

Just registered to Freephoneline.ca, got a free landline phone #, seems to work. I tried sending text message to landline # and it was converted to the robot talking. Then, my sister left me a test voicemall message and that worked. I tried having a phone conversation but my wifi internet signal is so bad that I think that's why the line was cutting out. I think it would work otherwise.

Freephoneline.ca (aka FreePhoneLine) is a residential VoIP service provided by Fibernetics Corporation, a Canadian company who owns Wordline, 295.ca, and Vonix. Fibernetics Corp. is also a Competitive local exchange carrier. Freephoneline.ca provides free services if using the offered softphone, or for a one-time charge, through an analog telephone adapter. The company is based out of Kitchener, Ontario.

Network

As a fully licensed CLEC[1], Freephoneline.ca does not resell other operator's services. The company has its own VoIP network infrastructure. They provide service in Alberta, British Columbia, Ontario and Quebec so far.

I got both budphone and freephoneline installed neither allows you to select which audio device to use. Thats a software flaw. Both magicjack and google chat allows you to route your audio device for a usb headset / mic combo used in settings drop menu. My situation is backwards. Now I gotta buy another mic and headphone to plug directly into the back of the motherboards HD audio rather than using the usb audio device headset.

The one Im using is Bud phone.The sound is really good. Aside the fact we can call everywhere in Canada for free the thing I love the most is that I can talk on the phone without holding anything in my hand. Only headphones.There's a contact that we can customize,a blacklist,a message box and many other stuff. I was using magic jack before but that one is a real huge shit.The sound is so bad. Half of the time ppl could not hear me.Fuck magic jack.Go wit Bud phone.It's 100% free.
