Sanal Edamaruku on Child Throwing ceremony in Maharashtra temple

Children are thrown down by priests from a temple top and caught in a cloth. Parents offer their children for this cruel ritual. Sometimes children fall to death. As it is religion, culture and tradition, local authorities allow this annual ritual. Sanal Edamaruku calls for stopping this barbarism.

It is very easy to cause critical brain injury in a little child by even a very small trauma to the skull and spinal chord.

The people who are doing this are risking the lives and health of the babies, this is terrible child abuse and it must be stopped.

@arjunmax7 I do not share the religion of these people and I condemn this activity, but this has nothing to do with being a believer in a religion or being an atheist. If tomorrow an atheist kills 4 children in a school, should I laugh and say it to your face: Proud to follow a religion where killing is forbidden by sacred rules?

Religion and atheism is one thing, and stupidity and common sense is another. This case however, in my opinion is the latter.
