Rudy Garcia-Tolson Finishes at Ford Arizona Ironman 2009

A friend of mine happened to overhear that Rudy was on his way to the finish line so he hoofed it back to the stands and caught what video he could. Rudy is an amazing athlete, considering he is a double-amputee, above the knee. He uses his Gluteus muscles to propel himself on the bike leg, and posts an amazing swim time. This is his first Ironman finish after missing the bike cut-off at Kona, and he's the first double-above to finish Ironman.

I too was there. Rudy went by me on my second lap of the run, but then I passed him on my third lap.  I also PRed this race.

I was in this race, and I finished 8 minutes after him. I saw him on the run course at mile 16. I was just about at rock bottom, I was so exhausted. But I saw him going, and he inspired me to keep on going. He's definitely a true Ironman...
