"A rose by any other name would smell as sweet"
Lovely photos - lovely flower - and yes, it has a lovely - sweet fragrance. :0)
My father called it Night Blooming Cereus - but I believe the true name is Epiphyllum Oxypetalum. But a name is just a name. Enjoy the plant - whatever you call it and I hope we can all enjoy blooms like these!

I read someone calling it "Christ in the Manger." I really don't care about the name. I feel privileged to see them open and its scent invading the summer night. I have two that are just a day or two from opening. Several of my friends will come over to see them and I'll give each a cutting.

thi is Night Blooming Cereus

I'm afraid it isn't Star of Betlehem.
Ernyős madártej (Hungarian) or Ornithogallum umbrellatum IS itt.

Under many names all over the world this is the Epiphyllum Oxypetalum. Much confusion arises from all these names. Some appropriate to the region where the people grow them and some from often repeated wrong names like "night blooming cerreus" which is a totally different plant.
I have had one for 10 years. This year it bloomed 3 times. This last time, a week ago, I stopped counting around 70 flowers that bloomed in 3 days. If anybody wants to see pictures , I'll be glad to forward if contacted.

:/ I used to grow Night Blooming Cereus, they bloomed all year long where I was
But we had warm weather year-long

'Scuse me! A little more research shows that "Star of Bethlehem" is an alternate name. I'm a master gardener; shame on me.
