-Both the solo and the verse would benefit from alternate picking. Only picking down will only lead to carpal tunnel.
-And last but not least, learn what hammer-ons and pull-offs are. The solo is full of them when Frusciante plays it.

-We all know what the song sounds like. Crank the amp and turn the song down so we can hear you better.
-The chords in the chorus are F, C, D, G, not F,C,D,C as you improperly played it.
-The "Who knew the other side of you" bridge part was played terribly. If you know it sounds bad, pluck at it until you get it right, or review an online tab.
