@pmgrantz I agree. I so totally admire singer/songwriters. You have to be amazingly talented to be one, especially one of the caliber of this one. But I guess if you have the depth that they have, you might be insulted by the simplicity of the title.

I understand her feelings about the term singer/songwriter...it's not an insult so much as a limitation and pigeonholing...a sort of dismissal...stifling for an artist.

I love how self-effacing Laura is. I live in California and have been lucky enough to see her live 5 times and on 3 of those occasions I had a chance to talk with her before the performances. Each time she was so lovely. I understood that she deserved her privacy so I made it quick and respectful.
I'll be 70 years old next month and I'm a complete Laura Marling fanatic. (I'll never grow up, thank god)
