  • Vera Lynn was an English/British legend then when things looked as black as they possibly could for us, the British people, at a terrible time in our history when we were all alone defending our very existence. Vera worked very hard throughout the entire war entertaining our tropps all over the world. At the age of 94, and living in the lovely Sussex countryside of Southern England, Vera is STILL a legend and still going strong! God bless you, Vera. Many thanks for seeing us through it all!

  • This song has helped me through some though times! For it's certainly true: whenever things look bad you can always believe that tomorrow will be better. And, funny enough, most of the time it IS!

  • Wow! I think the song is really cool! Not the topic but I like the song I am performing this song in a show

  • @Verderer

Thank God we were never occupied by the Boche and we saved Europe from the tyranny of Hitler

  • any warrior(or logical person) will tell you that tomorrow isn't promised and doesn't exist.....until you wake up the next day.

  • A wonderful expression of the British spirit of optimism, even in the worst of times. Just great in every way.

  • @Verderer God bless the people in England who lived through WWII. Every year at the Reading WWII weekend we sing the songs of hope that Vera Lynn sang to keep the bond we have with your Nation. We do it in memory of the times when people got together to sing and keep their hope up during the war.

  • "It's A Lovely Day Tomorrow" was written by Irving Berlin, 1940, and introduced by Irene Bordoni in the theatrical musical "Louisiana Purchase" ... later recorded by Glady's Swarthout (Victor) and also by Frank Sinatra when he was singing with the Tommy Dorsey orchestra in the early 40's.

  • may I ask you where this shorter version of this song came from? Was it on vinyl or shellac? (33,45,78). Thanks for your response.

  • ,,,I don't think Britain is much of a concern these days, are they fighting off the muslims and Africans invading and raping Ireland today ?

  • ,,,she needs to sing another inspirational song about fixing today's problems and removing all the worthless muslims ruining Britain.

  • Ain't is a shame all these people fought these wars and for their core beliefs only to have it all depleted and ruined by masses of nonwhite foreigners, mexicans, muslims and negros raping white girls and sucking our system dry thanks to our dirty liberal representatives and jewish controlled finance system ?
