Tribute to silent film star Ramon Novarro with music from his film "The Pagan". These photographs reveal the sensuality of his Latino looks. This along with his expressive eyes made him a formidable silent star. Unfortunately, talking movies limited his roles due to his accent among other issues.

  • In a biography about Roman Novarro it said that he played a priest in an episode of,"The Wild Wild West" and he was almost asked to leave the set when he could not stop staring at gorgeous Robert Conrad. I'm grateful that documentation exists regarding Ramon's sexuality, because none exist about the sexualities of Antonio Moreno and Cesar Romero.

  • @JayneEyre The song may actually be the same song, but the recording used is definitely that of Howard Keel, one of the most beautiful baritones in the history of Hollywood musicals.

  • @TheBlackCock1 No, he wasn't "a Queer." He was homosexual, and he was a great actor and a beautiful man.

  • This is a beautiful assemblage of images of the handsome Novarro. Sadly, that is not music from his film, as incorrectly attributed. It's Howard Keel singing "Pagan Love Song" from the 1950 musical of the same name, starring Esther Williams and Keel. It's still a gorgeous song, but not what you said it is.
