Rosslyn Chapel in Midlothian, Scotland was founded in 1446, and legend
has it that its founder, William St. Clair, was a descendent of the
Knights Templar, who had been given refuge in the century previous when
the warrior-monastic order was being horribly persecuted all over Europe
by the jealous Catholic Church and kings. The Templar refugees were given
asylum because in Scotland's war of independence against the English, the
Knights Templars had helped Robert the Bruce reclaim his kingdom. It was
because of this special relationship between Scotland and the Templar
tradition that Freemasonry, an off-shoot of the Order's affiliation with
Rosicrucianism, first began in Scotland before it was established in
England. Rosslyn Chapel stands as a monument to the roots of Freemasonry
in Britain.

Another of the attractions of Rosslyn Chapel, is the belief that it
contains a great secret, a mysterious source of power, capable of
transforming all our lives, a Holy Relic purloined by the Knights
Templar when they were in the Coalition of Crusaders, in their attempted
conquests of Muslim held Palestine. Many believe the Sacred Relic, hidden
somewhere within or beneath the Rosslyn Chapel, is the drinking vessel of
the Sacrificed Christ, the Holy Grail. Some people think that the "Holy
Grail" which the Rosslyn Chapel contains is the actual de-capitated head
of Jesus Christ. Nabil Shaban thinks it more likely to be the head of
King Arthur, who was not a king, but a 5th century war chief of Scots,
who had been fighting a campaign against the ever-encroaching
Anglo-Saxons.

The video footage in this film was shot by Marcela Krystkova and Nabil
Shaban, on a visit to Rosslyn Chapel in 2005.

The soundtrack consists of several music creations by Nabil Shaban, including "Mystic
Crumble" (2002) and "The WHAT in YOU" (2003), both of which are available
as "Downloadables" from iTunes. Just search for "Nabil Shaban" and his
album, "From Little Acorns".
