A trouble making young boy, Alec, comes under the influence of a creature called a Grundel & it makes him cause even more trouble. The boy also slowly starts turning into a Grundel himself!
The boy's brother, Lee, asks the Ghostbusters for help.

I've said before and I'll say it again, a great show written by great writers... and I've long thought that the Grundel was the "true" Boogieman and the "Extreme Ghostbusters" episode about the Grundel was maybe about more than was on the screen and was instead a way of saying that you can escape the horrible things that may have happened to you as a child... not to psychoanalyze things too much but I thought they did give a truly good message there. End transmission.

I recall this one being from the later episodes of the ABC series (not Fox). That was when Lorenzo Music, Arsenio Hall, and Laura Summer had already left, so that Peter, Winston, and Janine's voices had to be replaced. I only got into a few of these episodes, preferring the ones on Fox (Ragnarok and Roll, etc). What I don't quite understand about this one is the fact that the Grundel turns kids into new Grundels. Does that mean that the guys blasted and trapped what used to be a good kid? =-()
