@queenmcsleaze Doesn't a bass-to-hi-hat clamp just hold it in place? I'm not really sure what they're for

@hatespreader666 it clamps the hi hat stand to the kick drum hoop - however the entire weight of the hi hat stand is NOT resting on the hoop. rather. the hhstand is resting on its pedal-base (whatever that's called), the legs of the hi hat are folded in (thus they don't cover the kick pedal nor do they have to be miles away to allow the hi hat stand's legs to have space), and the clamp stabilizes the hi hat stand, stopping it from falling over.
