It was either Yangshuo or Lijiang. Yangshuo is a small town outside Guilin and can't be missed. Lijiang is northwest of Kunming on the edge of the Himilayas. If you go here you need to visit Tiger Leaping Gorge. No matter where you go in China you are going to have a great time. I would suggest buying a Lonely Planet guide book it has a lot of usefull information. If need any questions or advice feel free to ask.
