It's hard to believe that Kournikova never won any titles. Her 2nd serve was just horrible... but everything else about her game was pretty solid. She was good off both wings, good mover and competent at the net. Ok, This wasn't Lindsay's best match, and the wind looked pretty tough to deal with, but Kournikova went toe-to-toe with the best ones of that era and was no pushover when she was in the mood to play. Suppose maybe she just couldn't keep this level up over a full tournament :(

All of Lindsays wins were straight sets while Anna's wins were all very close three-setters. And she might have beat Lindsay but she still didn't win the whole tournament, THAT should show you what kind of player she was, INCONSISTENT.
