They are the animals, plants, and insects that are being recruited by a special breed of forensic scientists to solve the most seemingly impenetrable of crimes. Here, a forensic entomologist uses the life cycle of flies to bring a killer to justice. "Crime Scene Creatures" airs Sunday, June 1 at 8 pm ET on PBS (check local listings), part of the 26th season of the Peabody and Emmy award-winning series produced by Thirteen/WNET New York for PBS. Major support provided by Canon U.S.A. Inc., Toyota, and the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. For more information, visit http://www.pbs.org/wnet/nature/crimescene
a similar pig scene was used in the tv show CSI Las Vegas by Gil Grissom to proof a case. I thought it was cruel, but a criminal was put in jail. Criminals can fool police but not science.

I am all for science but in the past we have used junk science. Example bullet tin alloys where the FBI claimed to be able match a bullet with a lot of of unfired bullets in the suspects home. Completely bogus and got a lot of people put in jail unjustly.
