@EasyEs The fact remains that they did ban abortions, as you correctly point out. It's quite likely they "didn't enforce the ban" because they were too busy fighting a war to make it a priority.

Nor is it strange that they would allow abortions in countries they were attempting to ethnically cleanse.

Abortion is routinely banned by totalitarian governments but is available to people in advanced democracies. And the people yelling "Nazi" on this thread are the anti-abortion zealots, not me.

@flimflamracin Honestly, that is probably the DUMBEST pro-choice argument ever, and I hear it ALL the time. The "don't like abortion, don't get one," statement only makes sense to other pro-choicers, so it's not something that pro-lifers feel the need to respond to or discredit. When you say that to a pro-lifer, to them you're saying, "don't like murder, don't murder," so they would naturally respond, "abortion is murder." This just brings us back to the center of the debate and gets us nowhere.
