6500 ft elevation and low compression caused this rather slow run. With a healty engine at sea level you`d see around 7 secs to 60 and around 17-18 secs to 100 mph.

hey how did the 11:1 compression rebuild go? I have a 1992 scx w41 achieva and was thinking about rebuilding it with 11:1 compression

Jesus my Volvo station wagon is faster. It doesn't sound as good. But it's faster.

Are you sure everything`s ok with your car? Stock Beretta GTZ`s do 0-100 in about 18 sec, your car needed about 10 secs more. It should be quite a bit faster.

Well, actually two things causing that. I'm at 6500 foot elevation and yes, the car is ready for a rebuild. I thought even at my elevation it was slower than it should be. A compression test yielded 107/160/160/160. PSI was WAY low on the #1 cylinder. Time for a rebuild. But she's got 160k on the clock, so..... yeah, yanking the motor sometime in the next few months to do an upgrade to 11:1 compression/header and other goodies. :D Thx for the comment!

Holy cow, 6500 foot elevation! Now I can understand why the engine struggles a bit ;-)! Keep your car in shpae, they are very rare and cool! I drive a blue metallic 92 Beretta GTZ with a W41 upgrade.
