@Max5941 Got to ask mate..why is this train rediculous ? I haven't actually been on it, but I am curious.......genuine question ...
-
"a typical whingeing pom" What an image we have! Well as Pom I LOVED it as did all our party of 22, even though it poured down all day! And it's cheaper than the equivalents in the UK
-
Why would anyone pay $20 to ride this ridiculous thing? People there must be hard up for things to do
-
@Max5941 Bitter and Twisted?????? What is wrong with you man..........hundreds of thousands would disagree and i am one of them!!!!!!
-
i dont think they could give a rats ass that you to dont like it they get thousands of people riding it everyday that love it and would love to ride on it over and over again
-
I rode this little train, too, and I agree with Max. It really sucks. The carriages should at least be enclosed with proper seats.

As a person who has spent half his life having a lot to do with Puffing Billy I am insulted. Puffing Billy is the oldest and the most famous steam railway in Australia. If you want to see some of the special events like: The Great Train Race, Santa Special, Dinner and Luncheon Specials, Day Out with Thomas and the Commissioners Inspection Train then you'll agree the money you spent is worth it. If not, then just a sourpuss who can't simply enjoy the beauty of the Dandenong Ranges.

What were you expecting?
I was disappointed we didn't get to do a couple of jumps and a loop the loop when I went on it but still had a good time.
-
my balcony overlooks the station and i see the trains working everyday

I LOVE puffing billy so much, I'm going to get a job there and that is all i would do
Max5941 you sound like a typical whingeing pom. It's sad you didn't enjoy your trip on Puffing Billy. We loved it!

Max, it is really disappointing to realise that you could not find beauty and entertainment is this wonderful train. The ticket price goes toward the restoration and maintenance of the locos, the trains and the system. Puffing Billy is a not-for-profit organisation, money spent there goes to a good cause.
As for your assertion that it is a "disappointing joke", millions of tourists disagree with you.
Put your head back up your own posterior.
