@Sc0ttyz23, well, technically the Dragon Ball tv series was based off a comic book series and the comics never changed the name to Dragon Ball Z, it was still Dragon Bal... in japan anyway, the english translation of the comics did change the name of the second half to Dragon Ball Z because of the tv series.

@marplatense31 Well i never said that not having a story is bad for a cartoon or anime, but it is a plus for sure. Especially for an anime like Dragonball which has a very extensive storyline which goes on to DBZ and GT but i dont really like GT lol.
