Unchaining of the Key

We've been living in our current home since 2004. However, it wasn't until just a while ago, late November 2011, that we noticed one of our doors had problems closing.

The reason, to our big surprise, was an old key was stapled onto the bottom of the door and it was starting to come off.

In this video, I remove the key using a screwdriver and pull it out for a closer examination. There seems to be a number on each side of the key, "5", and "21". What could they mean?

To our knowledge, there is no lock in our home or in its immediate vicinity that this key would fit in. We need your help, dear audience!
