Zeta - Toki wo Koete (Super Robot Wars Compact 2)

The one and only use of Zeta's first OP in SRW history. It's a shame, really.

This is from the Super Robot Wars Compact 2 series from the Wonderswan.

Like the 8-bit music? Let me know! I've been thinking of uploading all of the Compact BGM, but class + lazyness has kept me from doing so. If enough of you ask, though, then I might make some time to do it.

@SCDifference Well, I am not 100% sure with the DVDs, but I can't imagine there would be any other reason. Every other Gundam series has kept the original openings on their DVDs. As for games, well I can't say why they choose what games they do, but their philosophy to include one or both every once in awhile.

@suchiuomizu Didn't know about that last point. Still, it's an outrage; they're just being cheapskates! And it still leaves the question open as to how it got into Compact 2 of all games it could have been in.

@SCDifference Licensing issues, even the Japanese can't/won't regularly use them due the extra they would have to pay. Same reason they were left off foreign DVD releases.

Very disappointing that this is the only game with Zeta's first OP theme. I would love to hear an up-to-date version of it.

@henritje19 Most, really? I can't think of more than a few that use it. Alpha 1 when fighting Four, Alpha Gaiden somewhere presumably (though I never found outside of the BGM list). Maybe you are confusing something else with the second opening, but even if there are a few I missed (and I do think there are a few more), it is far from most of them.
