- Calypso's first stop in French Polynesia is in the turquoise lagoon of Maupelia, an isolated atoll in the Society Islands, also known as Maupihaa. The Cousteau team discovers exuberant wildlife on the bits of land, where birds nest peacefully, and in the blue waters, where schools of colorful fish make way for sober-suited sharks.
- Pour sa première étape en Polynésie française, la Calypso s'arrête dans les eaux turquoises du lagon de Maupelia, un atoll très isolé dans l'archipel des îles de la Société aussi appelé Maupihaa. L'équipe Cousteau découvre à Maupelia une faune abondante autant sur terre avec de nombreux oiseaux nichant sur les îlots de l'atoll, que sous l'eau où les bancs de poissons font place à de grand groupe de requins.

I remember watching this on tv as a child. And now I lie in bed after an accident while diving in Tanzania. Oh how miss diving which I may never do again. But it would never gave happened without J.C!!
