been watching old epsisodes of RH on Soapnet. They are up to Mary moving in with Jack. When did Da finally like Jack? Daniel Hugh Kelly is a much better Frank Ryan then this stick in the mud.

@XxEllenMaccaxX her sister siobhan was invloved with joe whose uncle tiso was a mob boss. on the day of siobahnn/ joe's wedding mary followed 2 men who worked for tiso to play where they were putting drugs in the bellies of fishes.mary called johnny and told him not to start the wedding w.o her then the men beat her then threw her car down a ditch/gully to make her death look like an accident. she died on her sister's wedding day. it was 1979( i want to say in december)

This was one of soaps of all time. They had a wonderful cast (until the writers kept changing the characters) and story lines. That is, the GOOD story lines (another writer problem)...remember Delia and the gorilla? Whomever was responsible for that should have been shot. Helen Gallagher was absolutely beautiful...and Louise Shaffer was one of the best actresses I've ever seen on any daytime drama. I'm nostalgic for Ryan's Hope, the best show of the 70's.

Oh, Helen Gallagher is so beautiful dressed up and out of the frumpy bar owner clothes!
Not many women could look like this at 50 then or now -- and this was before Botox, etc.
