Taken from Zakir Hussain's first solo album "Making Music" (1987). It represents an important breakthrough in the world-jazz-fusion music scene. Zakir Hussain is considered the greatest tabla player on earth. Englishman John McLaughlin is thought by many to be one of the best guitarist on earth. An intuitive combination of styles and one of the best examples of what one deems music to be. Listen & Enjoy it.

Recorded at Rainbow Studio, Oslo, Norway in December 1986 (for ECM Records)

Personnel includes:
Zakir Hussain (vocals, tabla, percussion)
Jan Garbarek (soprano & tenor saxophones)
John McLaughlin (acoustic guitar)
Hariprasad Chaurasia (flute)

  • Vraiment très belle réalisation.

  • Brillant! Thank you for sharing. I am fan of McLaughlin from way back, but this is my first time to hear him with this beautiful ensemble of musicians. This has started my day off so positively!

I cant say anything more but truths are hidden in various forms. We need to trace them from right sources. I am glad that I could tell you about them. We are just informers, mere mediums. I am really glad brothermen.Zen to you and your family.

  • ok Zakir - no words can express, John is simply a study in commitment to ones craft and Jan's work is beautiful amazing...but Hariprasad Chaurasia on flute - is in another dimension on this album and especially in this song...I am blessed beyond to have ever been exposed to such ... magic
