christian lacroix's art is not for everyone. it has a niche market mainly because of his taste for finery and true art. it is expected that not everyone will agree to him. mainstream audience lauds the likes of alexader mcqueen etc. which to me are genius, pure genius in a mainstream sense, but not in lacroix's taste. he makes women look and feel like royal, sensual art beings and no one can imitate him.
