Balrog are a race of creatures, like spiders, giants, humans, dwarfs, worms, things like that.
The Balrog in the movie could have been older or something and so he looked different.

of course it doesnt look like the balrog from the movie, its not the same balrog, this dude is Thaurlach and all balrog are unique.
maybe with the upcoming mines of moria expac we will be able to see the balrog from moria( as a flashback or some other trick) and it will be more closer to the book

theres 10 dread, even with a +5 token you still cower in fear, and on top of that the blarog strip hope to random people once in a while during the fight. So buying destiny hope for this fight is great to help with the dread

A ministrell should use song of the hopefull heart, it cannotbe stripped and gives +4 hope wich really helps since it doesn't dissapear, and you don't lose it when you die....

ya hopefull heart is helpfull, but since you get 10 dread +4 from hopefull help but a +5 token help much more, with a captain spamming muster courage you wont cower in fear from dread.
and going there with +3 hope from thorog or thaurlach quest item turn in, you get a very easy fight.
