Earl Manigault was born in Charleston, South Carolina, and raised in Harlem, New York. He grew up playing basketball and practiced constantly. Manigault set the NYC junior high school record by scoring 57 points in a game in the late 1950s. While attending Benjamin Franklin High School, Manigault's life took a fateful turn when he began associating with the wrong crowd. He started using drugs and skipping classes. He was the star of his high school team and seemed destined for greatness in the National Basketball Association. Manigault was eventually kicked out of school after being caught smoking marijuana. He finished high school at a private academy, Laurinburg Institute North Carolina.

  • What happened to just smoking weed?

  • @JW2K3 Hell on earth.

  • for real man dont do drugs the fuck up everything man

  • he is certainly not stupid he was dealt a lot of bad hands and no one there to keep him on track. everyone he looked up to offered him drugs to escape his problems. hell i could understand if he grew up in a 2 parent household or better yet anywhere but Harlem circa 60-90's

  • @JW2K3 For Goat and "Hook" Mitchell.

  • the way they portrayed Earl in this movie he had all the talent in the world but was stupid as fuck. So fucking Sad, Damn.

  • Dude, this is such a SAD movie. Justice truly does not exist in this world, because talented people, like the goat, get passed over in life, because they don't have a caring, considerate group of people surrounding them. That really makes me sad. I mean, the majority of the blame has to land on the goat, but he could have been given an easier time at life. I believe that it is possible to avoid all sin. The Bible says it in I Corinthians. Pray that I find my way in life ASAP.

  • PAUSE nigga sed its been a business doing pleasue wit yuh lmao
