yes, because these controllers were not made in house. They were contracted by a different/better company. Madcatz other controllers are still shit.

People think madcatz have crap gear because they used to issue loads of cheap clones of the xbox/ps controller at a lower cost but much worse quality. But the company has changed in 2008, and brought in people who have true love for arcade gaming, and thus, have made a superior stick, even better than the Hori sticks. I'm getting my TE in the mail tomorrow :)

Haha I love the amount of care put into the handling of an arcade stick. It's classic, nice video man. I have to admit though even the boxing on Street Fighter is really nice. I pre-ordered the European limited edition so I should be recieving both C.Viper and Ryu figures, the guide, the anime and of course game. If I had a camera I'd make a video of me opening it like a pro, but meh I'm lying I just don't have that amount of patience or attention to detail.

the black ones are just extra buttons in case you want a 6 button layout near the side instead of near the middle.
