i am in a dutch version of rotc and when you are in the dutch army/af/navy/marinecorps your are part of that department but we are also all part of the dutch dod. if someone ask my teacher where he works he will answer:ik ben militair(dutch) and so u dont prescribe were your in but everyone knows what u are doing but how do you guys say that?

actually a soldier is only a member of the Army. If he/she is in the Air Force, then they are a Airman, if they are in the Marines they are a Marine, if they are in the Navy, they are a sailor. As a member of the U.S. Army it always aggravates me when people use soldier to describe everybody, but I know that most people don't realize their mistake so I don't let it bother me too much.

if i may say something. i dont think you should use the word we unless you yourself are a soldier. because we as civilians have no idea what its like to be fighting in a war. if you are a soldier, i do apologize b/c i have no right to say that that action was justifiable to you.

an american soldier is a fighting machine no matter what branch they're in and isupport all of them fully. but that said if i had to choose i would go ARMY all they way!!

I almost died Christmas Day. 3 RPGs missed the Blackhawk I was traveling in. One missed by 8'. I didn't really know what was goin on till afterward. I'm lucky to be alive, and to not have been killed on that day. I have 2 children and know how good it is to live life as an American.
