Walt Disney, move over! WOSU-TV had just received their new color equipment and Jack was front of the line to help them work the bugs out, in exchange for this keepsake. Another stellar find unearthed from my archives. We see Jack Wilce fresh back from his Elektra Records adventure at Paxton Lodge in California with Jackson Browne, David Crosby and Gram Parsons . Joined here by what would become The bands Woody Haze and the band Tyler, that Columbia Records was so interested in. They also freelanced as the rhythm section of Amerimuic Jingle Company. All were based In Columbus, Ohio at Musicol Recording Studios.
Having just returned from sixteen months in Muscle Shoals Alabama I pulled some strings to land Amerimusic's "chief engineer" position. Cousin Jack shared the writing with Brother Jim who did most of the selling. Together with a amazing collection of talent: arranger Vaughn Weister a trombonist from Woody Herman's big band, Ted Lenker on Guitar, Jeff D'Angelo bass guitar went on to play with Doc Severinsen, Tony Martucci the most amazing drummer and latin precisionist now playing and teaching in the D.C. suburbs, Jim Pearcy on guitar and vocals, Dick Mackey outstanding singer and vocal arranger, Marc Ornstein on Keyboards, Steve Burkee on ARP Synthisizer went on to found and still owns Cabbage Cases.
