  • It's ok to use sugar! Or honey. That statement is not true. Using a teaspoon of sugar isn't going to make any difference whatsoever in the medicinal use of ginger tea.

If anyone disagrees, show me the evidence.

  • ooopppsss i just cut the ginger root into pieces... Would i still ahve the same effect?

  • Can you use Stevia for a replacement of sugar?

  • did you know how many kinds of ginger?

  • @stevebigler... seriously? its filipino-american-french for your information, Ever heard of TAGLISH!? Typos happen, I'm sure you're not perfect either....it must be easy to be rude to people you've never seen or met before. I do this commerically and for that purpose THIS process works very well. Peeling the skin of the ginger looses vital nutrients! Happy holidays to you too!

  • @jlhappytoes "walla"? Dumb American... voila....

And re cleaning the "bark" of the ginger... just scrape with a spoon... easy, done!

  • i agree with you eccept for the sugar. but pilling ginger is like pilling an apple or a potato. just wash the ginger and put it in the food processor or blender you get more ginger extract this way. pour some hot water. strain the ginger and walla. hot ginger tea. add some honey and lemon.

  • @lizvandort666 sugar removes the medicinal benefits? that statement is almost as ridiculous as it is inaccurate. In fact if you're making a ginger tea for when you're sick, the sugar would be an added benefit, as the body's glucose requirements increase when you're ill.
