  • Nice review.

And the blue reticle is there for colour blind ppl

  • @OzoneFlyer thanks, and i thought it was an advantage of the blue but i was under the impression it was designed for normal daytime use by hawke.

  • Stirling 3-9 x 50 1r does the same job green and red cross

  • @asiq1987 true, but a £20 chinise scope also does. but the hawkes have more features and very good warranties and etc... there's more to a scope then just its basic functions, glass, reticles, manufacture, standards, type of reticle manafacture, price etc....

very easy to say a scope is the same as another but their are finer details to be looked at,

  • @AirGunsPlusReviews search for Hawke Panorama & Nite Eye Digi Scope Families and they explain all on there youtube channel. They have some nice scopes

Any way I am looking forward to your next review.

  • @AirGunsPlusReviews

    I will report back. :)

  • @bfgguns i nearly choose it because of price and side focus but they dont have IR which for me was necessary for lamping.

hope you get on well with it.

Hey Tom, thanks for the heads up! I can't find a German importer or distributor for BSA or MTC scopes which bugs me alot. I have read a lot of these scopes already on british air gun forums and they seem to offer the best value for money but unfortunately I can't get my hands on those. And export laws in England forbid selling scopes with greater magnification than 4x to foreign countries. I pick the Varmint, because I like the side focus. :)

  • @AirGunsPlusReviews ps- if you can afford it, i would try and pick up an mtc viper or mamba as they have amazing optics and gather light superiorly.

the downside with them though is they are fairly heavy and long.

  • @bfgguns hi, bfgguns,

i was i exactly the same boat as you.

both the varmint and the panorama have the half mildot system you are looking for!

    the main differences are.

varmint- side focus, nicer magnification ranges, but it's heavier & longer..

panorama- front focus (ao), lighter, shorter and it has blue illumination in stead of green, and ev technology allowing 20% wider view.

    hope this helps

    tom

  • Have you any experience with the Hawke Varmint SF 4-16x44? Can't decide wether to buy the Panorama or Varmint scope. The Panorama has the Map6 reticule and the Varmint the half Mil dot system.
