Names such as, George Washington, Benjamin Franklin and James Madison are fairly familiar to most American, but there are many, many more to whom we own a debt of gratitude for the liberties we enjoy today.

Haym Solomon is one of those names, which should not be forgotten. "Financial Hero—Businessman and broker Haym Solomon was responsible for raising most of the money needed to finance the American Revolution and later to save the new nation from collapse."

Clearly Haym Solomon understood the Principles of Good Business and the responsibility that to whom much is given, much is required. His example lives on in the lives of those who have been afforded the opportunities of this great county.

And we owe him a debt that cannot be repaid to hi, but through our generosity and service to others.

I was taught about this man in grade school. I wrote a paper on him for an assignment.....of course, I'm 59 years old. I doubt such things are taught today.

It took many different types of people to win our freedom. It will take many different types to maintain or, God forbid, reclaim our freedom.
