Just tinkering after changing the oil. I was Messing around with another fender and decided to see what my seat cowl (thruxton) would look like with the new tank mod. not too bad a combo for the cafe "look", but still not quite right with the solo seat. I am now thinking of installing the springs and bolting the cowl to the seat. I can kinda picture it in my head. We'll see soon enough I guess. Any thoughts?

  • how did you bolt on the thruxton cowl?

  • @awiencek sorry its taken me this long to answer - I still had fender struts at this point - basically I cut the struts shorter and drilled holes in the cowl to bolt to the struts and slide over the shock bolts behind the shocks. I also bolted the front fender support under there as a brace - it was very sturdy.

  • looks good. are you gonna get the rearset foot controls? looks a little cramped with the clip ons.

  • @Bushidough577 thank you - actually, its pretty different right now - rearsets are on the things i'd love to get list - and really not cramped with these clubmans (i just received my clip-ons today) the lack of rearsets make it somewhat uncomfortable though. its a fun project

  • Looks great man. I really like the profile of the sporty like this.

The seat cowl makes the whole thing work.

It's as anti chopper as you can get.

  • @MrGuyfella Thanks, yeah I guess it is kinda anti-chopper. Lowering it at first looked sorta cool but in the end it handled not so go. If I had to go up with it I figured I might as well try the cafe route. Didn't quite get there but I like to tinker so the adventure continues.
