Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome is a form of Dysautonomia. It is a life altering condition that results in a variety of symptoms; the most common being low blood pressure (orthostatic intolerance) and a high heart rate.

To find out more, watch the video!

I did my best to include as much information as possible - there was so much I wanted to say that it ended up being over ten minutes which is why there are two parts! :) My next videos will be more about my life and how POTS affects me.

Please comment, message, & subscribe! I can't wait to talk to all of you. I hope you enjoy it. I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing but I'm learning (& it's been a lot of fun).

Credit for some of the information & facts goes to Potsplace.com , (Grubb, 2000).

  • This is still one of the best POTS videos Kyli. I am using every drop of energy I have to help this community of people with Invisible Diseases. We can succeed, we can find a cure, we can have our lives back!

Thank you for all of your incredible work Kyli.. And thank you to everyone else for telling your stories and reaching out to each other. This is a terrible disease, but a wonderful community of people who have it!

We will get to the tope of this tiresome mountain, together. ~Sending Love

  • I also have POTS and OI and IST etc. You are doing a great job here, teaching. I wish I could get some doctors to learn too.Now I will go watch part two.

  • please help me.. hyperventilating and coughing and burping makes my life so hard everyday! :-(... I have never been diagnosed with POTS as I think the doctors here in the Philippines are not yet familiar with this one.. I have seen a lot of doctors for 13 years of my sufferings... :-(

  • Hi Kyli

I was wondering if someone with POTs could still be a singer after they were diagnosed. I have not yet been diagnosed, but it is up in the air and I am extremely frightened that I will have to give up singing.

Thank you so much for this super informative video.

  • Thanks for making this video. Many POTS patients are misdiagnosed for years with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, IBS, Depression, Laziness, etc.

  • @WolfAttackFromSpace im the same way

  • I have POTS...And I CAN"T STAND IT. I can't sing without twiching or stand up right for long. I have improved, but there are days, when I don't want to get up. This is why I made my own workout routine.

  • I'm so impressed with you -- you are talented, articulate and compassionate. I have POTS, probably since I was about 13, and it has only just been formally diagnosed in the last two years. Now my 16 year old son has a very severe case of it. It is helpful for him to see these videos. I have lived almost 30 years with POTS, married, had 3 kids, a fulfilling career, lots of friends, and never knew why I needed to nap all the time or lie down. There is hope!

  • I have Chronic Fatigue/Fibormyalgia along with some other things and my friends and family responded the same way until I ended up in the hospital where they could see everything going wrong. I have high blood pressure and a lot of meds. So, I understand where your coming from. Keep fighting and be blessed!

  • smart pretty girl wow that is rare
