Reebok commissions a portrait of Lewis Hamilton to celebrate his season. Artist Ian Cook will create the portrait in London using his own style. He creates his images by dipped small remote controlled cars in paint and driving them across a canvas!
The cars are used but it's pathetic really, he is in control for 99% of that painting the cars are doing a minimal amount by themselves. He is just an entertainment act for kids, there are much better artists out there.
from my experience while a child, I know that dabbing cut up potatoes in paint gives the same effect
all in a much quicker, cheaper and less "oh wow isn't that cool to use toy cars! oh hold on he's just dabbing them in paint and could use absolutely anything" kind of a way.
I am disapointed. I have checked this video because I have thought that Ian Cook made the painting entirely by remote cars and I see here that he made the details with the wheels in his hands as paintbrushes... I am disapointed.
