  • SOME OF HISTORIES BRAVEST, BEST PEOPLE ARE THOSE WHO REFUSED TO CAPITULATE TO TYRANNY! I JUST WATCHED A VIDEO OF POLAND IN THE YEAR 3050, AND IT WAS AN AMAZING GROUP IF IMAGES OF GIANT CITIES AND TECHNOLOGY, AND THEN I HAD TO WATCH THIS, PEOPLE LIKE THESE FOUGHT TO LIBERATE THEIR COUNTRY, SO THAT FUTURE CAN HAPPEN SOMEDAY. THE NAZIS DID NOT DEFEAT POLAND IN 1939, THEY JUST THOUGHT THEY DID, BUT BOY, WERE THEY WRONG! THANK GOD FOR THOSE WHO RESIST TYRANNY!

  • TODAY IS CAPSLOCK DAY ;d

  • @dregsta Of course Pilecki was the real Superman. His life it`s a history of Poland in a pile. There was also many other Polish underground fighters with amazing biography like Kazimierz Piechowski. He escape from Auschwitz along with 3 other prisoners, dressed as members of the SS-Totenkopfverbände, fully armed and in an SS staff car. They drove out the main gate in a stolen automobile, a Steyr 220 belonging to camp comandant Rudolf Höss.

  • I ment of course " he always told them"

  • @licicaviki

I wish there would have been many more escapes like this, but I know of too many where in the last minute things went wrong(often through betrayal)I often think how much the experiences in such camps would have been with you all your life I remember listening to Polish survivers of camps and one of them said, that when he was hillwalking with friends years later, I always told them to not worry when he was screaming at night during his sleep..in his dreams he was back there...

  • @SiggyStern When the commandant Höss heard in Berlin that four prisoners had escaped he asked: 'How the bloody hell could they escape in my own car, in our own uniforms, and with our ammunition?' They could not believe that people they did not think had any intelligence took them for a ride." It`s was really an audacious escape.... good story to good movie.

  • @licicaviki

Thank you for telling me the background of this story (I remember hearing it before (from you (o:) but those details I do not remember hearing or knowing).......

  • @SiggyStern Piechowski and His friends pass away one SSman on bicycle. He welcomed them with "Hitler gruss. In concentration camp he realized that he welcomed escapers. Later he was a leader of german unit who try to catched Piechowski. Although they were never recaptured. When this SSman back to camp he was so angry that he first throw his cap on the ground... and after that he started roared with laughter ;-)

  • @licicaviki

ohhh I did not know that they took Höss own car for this escape.... .....their escape altogether is amazing and was so much against all odds......I view it like a miracle that they succeeded and I know how brave they must have been to dare to do such a thing.......

  • 23 ppl who disliked this video are either nazis, communist or Ukrainian sympathizers

  • @Bosirant Operation Vistula was a tragedy and a crime, but committed by Soviet-backed government, that was brutally persecuting (often murdering) AK soldiers and other Polish patriots.

In desperate struggle against Soviets and their puppets some UPA units putted hatred aside and started limited cooperation with post-AK organisation WiN (Freedom and Independence). To bad it took them so long to realise who the real enemy was. It seems that You haven't up to this day.

  • @Bosirant Individual crimes committed by local Polish partisans, as an acts of vengeance for atrocious crimes committed by UPA, never got any approval or encouragement from Home Army command. While "liquidation of the Polish element" was openly declared goal of leaders of OUN-B and UPA. Main focus of Home Army was always fight against Germany, majority of AK soldiers fought only Nazis. They contributed to ally effort more than any other resistance organisation and got no acknowledge for that .
