A jellyfish donated to The Deep aquarium in Hull by a fisherman is thought to be the largest in the world in an aquarium. The pink Lion's Mane jellyfish, which was found off the East Yorkshire coast, has a bell of 14 inches (35.5cms) diameter and a mass of pink flowing tentacles reaching 3 feet (91 cms). It spent 2 days in quarantine at The Deep, under the watchful eye of Jellyfish Aquarist Tom Rowe but it is now thriving and on public display. It has turned a deeper shade of pink overnight as it has become healthier. It ate 3 Moon jellyfish for breakfast!
