@mrmrdean1 I've watched so many videos of this tsunami and I totally agree. When he was like "I hope they can swim...' I instantly was like, what the fuck, how about go down and see if you can help... I mean damn, how could ANYONE, unless you have little children with you, just sit there and fucking watch so casually?

Good Lord, that narrator is horrible. It's like he's watching a football game.

@kaitoukidsama95 no this video was taken at bentota beach hotel, sri lanka.

@dfmfmycsi what did he say?

camera man 3min 30sec "oh that peasant will be ok,hes only getting washed out,theres plenty of trees,broken glass,dead bodys to grab on the way out",throw em a polo laurence", yeh i will,lunch first boyo eh? there aint alot the camera man and friends can do but theres not even a attempt to throw them something or do anything that could help,some people would have at least ran to a lower floor to aid anyone at that level,of course you wouldnt put your life at risk (like some would).

All the people bitching that the camera man or the people on higher ground should've "done something" to help those on the ground trapped in the water, i'll say it simple... YOU'RE IDIOTS. There is absolutely NOTHING this man or any of the folks up high could've done for those on the ground. This isn't Hollywood. They're not action heroes who could've pulled a rope outta their asses and thrown them down to the poor souls in the water. The raw energy in a tsunami swell/wave is beyond imaginable.

I guess THESE hotel rooms also arent equipped with a safety line, a fire rope...to throw down to water...yes it is easy to be safe at balcony in shock...

palm trees are designed for coastal conditions thats why they have there leaves at the top and a hard trunk so they can withstand large waves and hurricanes.
@GhettoBootyTube are you retarded? Thousands of people dead, millions of dollars damaged and you are worrying about getting "THUMS UP BECAUSE OF JAPAN" you are pathetic

I understand why the ppl in this vid were ignorant about the waves/destruction. look where they were, they were in an enclosed area and all they saw were lawnchairs being tossed around a little. of course they were most likely aware of the damage it did to the hotel, but they were unaware of the damage it was doing to the rest of the island and it seemed more like a "cool" spectacle rather than a deadly disaster. prayers go out to victims and their families.
