  • Is this compiz or kde composite?

I couldn't get it working on wine, but my video card is older. It always seems to crash my X on gentoo when I run portal in wine.

  • I have Ubuntu 10.10, using wine 1.2, trying to run portal through steam through wine, and it crashes upon trying to enter the main menu. (ATI Radeon X600.) Any ideas?

  • how can you run it so good? i run it and 2 things happen. 1: it lags, 2: it repeats textures when i move. a texture error.

  • @saxon161 It's an addon, you can do that in portal on pc ;)

  • Have you play it on Ubuntu 10.10?

  • the portals look a bit basic...

  • @Auroraa94 Both need to be good, but having a great graphics card (that is supported in Linux) helps performance tons.

  • I actually did figure out how to get fullscreen. Just a couple settings.

  • I just got this working with 9.04 on my old Athlon XP 2500+, w/ GeForce FX5200. Gotta figure out how to get it to go fullscreen though.
