My response to the blasphemy challenge

So apparently this "Blasphemy Challenge" is still going on. Here's my take on the situation. Take from it what you will, let me know.

I hope you aren't using Faux News for your information source.

You can reconcile your concerns by viewing all of the videos and reading all the responses. If you do you will see that it's not an impulsive, rebellion as you seem to be implying.

The reason why religion seems to be losing ground in modern times is due to widespread education and access to knowledge (new and old). People are getting smart and see religions to merely be the old myths that they really are.

It's the nature of the challenge itself that bothers me. It's a purposeful defiance of the only unforgivable sin in the Bible.

I'm an atheist, I don't believe there are sins at all, why should I make a public showing of denying the holy spirit, using the Bible's own terminology? It's not professing atheism, only professing my anti-Christian activism.
