Tornado on Ross Barnett Reservoir in Brandon MS

Tornado passing by my house.

First segment was a rain shower passing through. Always amazes me how quick it starts up and shuts down
Second segment is the tornado
Third segment is lightning highlights videod in 210 fps (no sound)
Fourth segment is lightning in review (stills extracted out of the video - no sound)

i have relatives at winged foot circle just south of the reservoir, did the tornado hit in that area?

No, the tornado developed over the reservoir. I will PM you the exact link of the path depicted by the NWS.since comments don't permit hyperlinks.

Wow, I can't believe you actually got a good visual of a tornado. Nice pics of the c-g lightning as well. It's gray and rainy here as of 11:02 A.M and they are saying we may get thunderstorms this afternoon, some possibly severe into this evening.

thanks beechsundowner for the link, the way it looks to me now is that the clinton/nm jackson tornado was the same storm, and that path looks like it lifted only a few hundred feet before reaching my brother's house. Sadly he no longer speaks to anyone in our family anymore, so i couldn't find out any other way...thanks again you kindness is appreciated...Jayburd08

There is nothing more awesome and equally frightening as a tornado, with the eerie calm, lightning, and the sirens in the background. I don't think I could have been as calm and collected as you were if I had been staring at one. In your classic style, you even taught us all a thing or two about tornados. Good job!
