Yeah, it is nice. I've heard that manually shifting through the gears puts more wear on the transmission though, so you shouldn't do it too often.

You could downshift with a Honda Automatic as well. They offer a nice control of 1, 2, D3, or D4 allowing you to technically manually shift through all the gears yourself if you so desire, or downshift into whatever gear you like :)
