Curly Headed Baby

Molasses Creek, featuring Jule Garrish, on the Ocracoke / Swanquarter ferry in NC.

I took this ferry by chance wanting to take the most scenic route home. I didnt know it was a 2 and ¾ hour trip. I was taking pictures then decided to check out the lounge. When I walked in they were playing a Gospel tune. I walked right out the back door and took some more pictures.

After a half hour I was heading back to my car to take a nap but stopped back in the lounge first. Molasses Creek was really jamming now. They were smoking hot. This wasnt a gig. They were playing for themselves. Or as my musician friend calls it, shedding.

Then they asked Jule Garrish, who was part of the small audience to sing Curly Headed Baby. I hadnt used movie mode on my camera for awhile.
