Thanks for the reply. I was a vice principal until recently, and I read his book. Many of the remarks he makes about public school "educators" are dead on. But I am not a public school hater on principle. I think there are some great schools with some great people teaching there. What is it you dislike? I can see why his tone and frankness can put off some people, but that does not bother me.

@Nativedaughter, did you not like him because he would not allow you to curse in school like you did in your comment? Despite what YOU think of him-his results are apparent. The kids in his schools have higher test scores, unlike what you would find in other schools in the US. I think he has some wisdom to offer. I agree with Romello!! :)
